James Corden is an Emmy Award-winning host, writer, and producer; a Tony Award-winning and Golden Globe nominated actor; and a multiple BAFTA Award winner.

Corden is the host of THE LATE LATE SHOW, which premiered on CBS in March 2015. The show has garnered Corden four Emmy Awards, for “Outstanding Variety Special - Pre-Recorded” for “Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live from Liverpool” (2019); “Outstanding Interactive Program” (2016); and “Outstanding Variety Special” for “The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special” (2016 and 2017). THE LATE LATE SHOW has been nominated for seventeen additional Emmy Awards, including “Outstanding Variety Talk Series” in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

In 2019, James was the most Emmy nominated performer/producer/writer, totaling seven nominations. Additionally, THE LATE LATE SHOW received four consecutive Critics Choice Award nominations for “Best Talk Show,” winning in 2016 and 2020, and a Writers Guild Award nomination for “Comedy/Variety Talk Series” in 2019. Digitally, THE LATE LATE SHOW has set YouTube records with over 3 billion views. THE LATE LATE SHOW YouTube channel has a subscriber base of over 26 million and holds the top three most-watched Late Night videos on YouTube with the Adele Carpool Karaoke (236 million), the One Direction Carpool Karaoke (177 million) and the Justin Bieber Carpool Karaoke (155 million).

Corden is the co-creator and executive producer of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” for Apple TV+. The series won three consecutive Emmy Awards in 2018, 2019, and 2020 for “Outstanding Short Form Variety Series”; won the 2020 Producers Guild of America Award for “Outstanding Short-Form Program” with nominations in 2018 and 2019; and won the 2020 Critics’ Choice Real TV Award for “Best Short Form Series.” Additionally, he served as executive producer of “Drop the Mic,” which aired on TBS.

James hosted “The 70th Annual Tony® Awards” on CBS in 2016, which drew 8.7 million viewers, the highest viewership in 15 years, and garnered him the Emmy Award for “Outstanding Special Class Program.” He also hosted “The 73rd Annual Tony Awards” on CBS, in 2018 and was nominated for an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Variety Special (Live).” Additionally, Corden hosted the 59th and 60th “Annual Grammy® Awards” in 2017 and 2018 and received an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Variety Special (Live)” in 2018. James also starred in “James Corden’s Next James Corden” on Snapchat and won two Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” and “Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” in 2018. And in 2019, he received an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program” for “The World’s Best.”

Corden is well known for starring as ‘Smithy’ in the critically acclaimed BBC comedy series “Gavin & Stacey,” which he co-created and co-wrote with Ruth Jones. For this role, he won the BAFTA Television Award for “Best Male Comedy Performance” in 2008 and the British Comedy Award for “Best Male Comedy Performer” in 2007. The series received the British Comedy Award for “Best TV Comedy” in 2008, as well as the National Television Award for “Most Popular Comedy Programme” in 2010. In 2019, James co-wrote and starred in the “Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special” which premiered on Christmas Day and was watched by 11.6 million people, breaking the show’s own viewership records making it the highest watched holiday special in over a decade, and garnering him the 2020 BAFTA TV Award for “Must See Moment.”

In the UK, Corden hosted the BAFTA Award winning UK sports-themed comedy game show, “A League of Their Own.” Additionally, he starred in, produced and wrote the BAFTA nominated comedy thriller “The Wrong Mans” for the BBC and was awarded the Royal Television Society Award for “Comedy Writer of the Year” in 2013. Other notable roles in the UK include: “Fat Friends,” from 2000 to 2005, garnering him a nomination for the 2000 Royal Television Society Award for “Network Newcomer On Screen” and a recurring role in the popular BBC science fiction series “Doctor Who” as ‘Craig Owens’, the Doctor’s roommate.

Corden served as host for the Brit Awards, the biggest event in the British music industry, from 2010 to 2014. Over the course of his career, Corden has been awarded the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for “Comedy Writer of the Year;” the South Bank Show Award for Comedy; the TRIC Award for “Best Comedy;” the National Television Award for “Best Comedy;” and the 2015 BAFTA Britannia Award for “British Artist of the Year.”

On stage, Corden starred in the acclaimed comedic play “One Man, Two Guvnors,” which he first performed at The National Theatre in London and then on Broadway. His performance garnered him the 2012 Tony Award for “Best Leading Actor in a Play.” He is also well known for playing “Timms” in Nick Hytner’s “The History Boys” on Broadway and in his 2016 feature film adaptation.

In film, Corden recently starred in Ryan Murphy’s “The Prom,” opposite Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman and received a 2021 Golden Globe nomination for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.” The film was nominated for the 2021 Golden Globe for “Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy” and the 2021 GLAAD Media Award for “Outstanding Film – Wide Release.”

Corden will lend his voice to the title character in “Peter Rabbit 2” in Summer 2021.
Corden reprises his role from “Peter Rabbit” which made over $350 million and co-stars Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie. Additionally, he can be seen in the live action musical “Cinderella” which he co-wrote and produced. The film stars Camila Cabello, Billy Porter, and Idina Menzel and will be released by Sony Pictures in July 2021.
